Balance Counselling and Trauma Therapy

Audrey is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She offers individual trauma therapy and also offers specialized sessions in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Her therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based, trauma-informed methods that prioritize nervous system healing. She incorporates other therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and working with parts into her practice.

Audrey also has over 7 years of expertise in both physical and mental health domains. Her comprehensive approach to treatment fosters a holistic environment for clients, encouraging exploration of challenges and strengths without judgment. Embracing inclusivity, she welcomes anyone seeking support, irrespective of religion, sexual orientation, family history, or personal beliefs.

Audrey holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, having also completed undergraduate studies in a Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph. Her diverse background includes a degree in paramedicine and working in this domain for three years. Transitioning toward preventative health, she became a Registered Health and Nutrition coach and a personal trainer. Her contributions to programs like the Canadian Diabetes Prevention Program and other national studies such as the CREST2 trial reflect her dedication to supporting clients in living their best lives. Before immersing herself fully in counselling, Audrey also worked with individuals coping with severe schizophrenia in a group home setting.
